OnlineNIC FAQ: The Wholesale Program


How do I become a member?

It's easy to become an OnlineNIC member and begin making more revenue. First, sign up with us at the member sign up page. Once you've chosen a password and received your member_id via e-mail, login at OnlineNIC.com and prepay. (For prepayment details, see "What is your pricing policy?" below.)

What are the key benefits of becoming an OnlineNIC member?

What is your pricing policy?

We offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. Your starting price as a member is determined by your initial prepayment. When you first sign up as a member you can select which membership level you want by choosing the corresponding prepayment. The more you prepay, the lower your starting price. Details of our four member price levels can be seen in the table below You can pay via credit card or bank transfer:

How can I raise my member level and get better prices?

You can raise your member level by adding more prepaid funds into your account or simply by doing enough business with us (in total US dollars) to match the next highest prepayment level. The member control panel keeps track of your account balance and the amount of business you have done to date, and will provide specific information about your member level and requirements for upgrading. Simply click on "Add Account Funds" under the "Account Management" category of the control panel.

What kind of services can I offer my customers?

Presently, you can offer standard gTLD (.com,.net,.org) domain registrations, multilingual domain registrations, and domain forwarding. Soon, you will be able to offer registration of new TLDs (.biz, .info,.pro,.name), popular ccTLDs (.cc, .tv) and value added services like e-mail forwarding and domain parking.

Can I offer your services directly to customers on my web site with my branding?

Yes! Our OnlineNIC Template System allows you to offer real-time registration services directly on your web site, while transparently connecting to OnlineNIC's back end. Our templates require very little technical ability to install. Currently, the OnlineNIC Template System requires that you have Windows NT/2000, IIS Server, and MYSQL2000. Support for other platforms will be announced later this fall.

In addition, we will soon be providing a complete API for those members who wish to develop their own registration system and link to our back end. Details will be provided once the API is complete.

Do my customers pay you directly?

Billing customers is the member's responsibility. You pay OnlineNIC for all services you purchase on behalf of the customer.

What if I forget my member ID or password?

If you forget your password, you can use the password retrieval tool to have it e-mailed to you. You can reach this tool by following the "forgot password?" link under the login area of the home page. Also, when you enter an incorrect password you will be prompted with a link to this tool. Once you've filled in the required information your password will be e-mailed to you.

If I stop being a member do you refund any unused funds?

We will refund any unused funds in your account, minus a $25 processing fee. However, there may be an additional adjustment charge to reflect higher prices you would have paid for a lower volume of registrations. For example, if you originally prepaid $669 for 100 gTLD domains (Platinum level), but decide to close your account after registering 10 gTLD domains (Bronze level), you will still have $602.10 remaining in your account. After a processing fee of $25 and a price adjustment fee of $13.00, $564.10 will be returned to you. The $13.00 charge reflects the $1.30 price difference between Bronze and Platinum level members for the 10 gTLD domains you registered. Please e-mail us at feedback@OnlineNIC.com, or fax OnlineNIC (415-775-1686) if you wish to close your account. Refunds take six to eight weeks to process.
